If it’s locked to sprint, how is it compatible with others? Was that a typo ?

Not a typo. There are four different iPhone 7 plus models made. 1661,1784,1785 and 1786. Each has different bands. Also, there are two different modems used with the iPhone 7 Plus. This model uses the Qualcomm Modem. The iPhone 7 Plus A1661 is the most comprehensive model as it works on almost all GSM and CDMA carriers. The world phone is available at Sprint and Verizon in the US, as well as some other countries like Puerto Rico, Hong Kong, and China. This will not accept an ATT SIM card.
