Hi Noah. I tried ATT and tmobile both works fine. It was originally Verizon. So all sub carriers also should works. Not sure about sprint.

Hi Jasmine. Just check the carrier there if it is GSM it should work. The phone is GSM unlocked.

I thought to be able to connect with T-Mobile it had to be the A1897 not the A1864

It works with Tmobile i tried it.

But Verizon is a CDMA carrier and T mobile is a GSM carrier. So how is it able to switch over like that if that phone was previously Verizon

It has both network capabilities. GSM and CDMA. I sold many phones and always check them with TMOBILE and ATT . Both work. Verizon phones has extra feature which is CDMA while TMOBILE phones don't have. So it works:)
