does the filter come off? Can you add a picture of the lens without the filter?

Yes the filters come off. They just screw on. If you look at the photo that Swappa has for the category (for the lens), you can see there is no filter. My car is in the shop and the lens is in the car so I can't get it until possibly tonight (if the car is finished today). I have other lenses that I could post a pic of without the lens but I don't want it to get confused with the lens being advertised. In general, the lens comes without a filter. Many people add them for effect or protection. You can easily remove if you so desire. Any dust that you see will wipe off.

I'll be picking the car up from the dealer within the hour (so I'll have the lens). If you still want to see the exact lens with the filter removed, LMK and I'll post a picture in a bit.

Yes, price is firm. I have another that is $25 less. It is in the original box and comes with the hood and rear cap but no front cap. The reason it is less is because the lock switch that locks the lens closed doesn't actually lock. If you want me to post it, I will.

I'm pretty sure the A6000 is an E-mount lens. You are looking at an A-mount lens. For the E-Mount 18-250mm lens, the price is over $2k. E-Mount lenses are 3+ times the price of the comparable A-mount lens so I tell people all of the time, if you are ever going to have more than 1 lens (not necessarily at the same time but if you ever plan to buy a replacement or additional lens), but the A-mount and buy the adapter. I suggest the LA-EA3 or EA4. They are $200-500 but will save you more than that on lenses.
