Apple has a one year warranty after purchase. Would like to know date of purchase and if you have the receipt if there are warranty issues. Thanks

No receipt. The laptop hasn’t been opened so there is no registered purchase date. You can do that when you set it up the first time.

Could you still check the coverage?

It says valid purchase. Log into your apple account and verify purchase date.

You don from when you power it on and register it. It was bought from Best Buy as a gift and unopened.

We are at an impasse and going in circles. After looking at the apple site and reading the content, the warranty starts at the moment of purchase. The serial number entered on this web page: https://checkcoverage.apple.com/us/en
will let you know if there is warranty remains as well as if AppleCare can be purchased for extra coverage. The serial number should be located on the outside of the box. Would consider purchasing if there is 9-10 months left on warranty.

Yes I have checked and it’s a valid purchase but it’s not opened and you have to open it and sign in to your apple account.
