Hey Harrison, I have a question about features of the Pixel overall, would appreciate any info on this— if you have used OTG or other USB xfer to flash:
I am coming from a Samsung Note 4 which I've loved over years for its night video quality. I know Pixel is top rated for camera and video, but nobody in various forums online has been able to answer a pretty simple question: Have you used any kind of OTG or other USB plugin of Flashcard to transfer large video files off your Pixel? I shoot docu footage w/ long interviews which can be 5GB- 20 GB in size.. Times 5 or 10 of these things and then I am out of recording space. So my workflow needs to be able to pull off files onto flash quickly, no waiting for sync with Google Photos etc. So my Q is about USB transfer speeds--- relatively speaking... Does the pixel allow the thruput that various fast flash sticks claim— or is it super-slow as I had read. Thx v much if you happen to know :)

Hey quicksite. I'm sorry to say that I've never transferred files larger than a few hundred MBs from my Pixel to my computer. All I can tell you is that I know the Pixel XL has USB 3.1, so in theory, if you have a USB 3.1 OTG cable and USB 3.1 flash drive, you should be able to transfer files at 10gbps. I've never actually tested this, though, sorry!

Hope this helps!

Thank you! ... i wonder if the forums I read were really reflective of 'user error'. It happens a lot. Thanks for the answer. It's helping me figure it out :)

Can you confirm it's a google edition and not an unlocked Carrier edition? Are you the original owner and did you purchase it straight from google?

Hi Charles. I am indeed the original owner. I purchased the phone through Project Fi, so it's the Google edition.
