Hello Hans:
Like new.
Did you buy it new??
Peter
I like it...$120.00 and it's mine.
Yes, I bought it new a few months ago.
Thank you for the that update, sir.
I am guessing that when S3 was discontinued you decided to go to 2 sonos play 1's for stereo, or a sonos 5 for an even bigger sound stage?
I guess what I am asking is : (1) why are you selling (2) do you worry that s3 wont be supported and better to change now before it to late.( sorry I didn't mean to suggest that your s3 is a dud, but am wondering if it is worth the investment rather than something else.
Thanks again,
Sincerely,
Peter
Actually, I'm selling because it's the only Sonos product left in my house, and the rest of my family doesn't prefer Sonos (over Google Home). I actually prefer the Play:3 form factor and Sonos app over the Home Max, but the rest of my family usage patterns win out. I didn't even know it was discontinued, but I don't think it will lose support from Sonos--I wouldn't even worry about that...there are tons of speakers out there and they can't just end support for a past speaker. That would be a terrible PR mess for Sonos for little gain.
Anyway, the Play:3 is a better balance of sound stage, price, and size. Play:5 is very expensive (in my opinion for what you get) and much larger.
Thank you for your input.
Guess you are right Sonos couldn't alienate all previous buyers by stopping support.
I bought 2 jbl link 300 with black friday half price promos.
Dual points (1) bass is surprisingly disappointing, but getting better with break in. (2) combined with chromocast the google eco system and AI is impressive.
So the google centric speakers provide backdrop and functionality
But If , as I suspect and my you tube watching suggests, the sonos adds better sound, I may be open to your Sonos 3.
.
If we can agree on $125 ( and your word as a gentleman that isn't is an old, old speaker)
At $125, I am ready to buy it.
Sincerely,
Peter
PS your info suggests power cord included, but it isn't shown in photo.
I listed this as like-new because other than the opened plastic bags, you'd be hard pressed to think it wasn't new. Includes all original accessories, cables, manuals. Price is firm for now, I'm not in a hurry to sell, price is fair based on comparables sold elsewhere.
Thank you for your answer, sir.
You make good points
But I will continue to check in, and if there is any wiggle room in your price I am interested.
Good luck, sir.
Sincerely,
Peter
