I am interested. is this price negotiable?
Maybe. FYI, I was thinking about giving this to a friend whose phone just died, but we found out that you cannot bring your own Android device to a new account at Virgin Mobile, they only do iPhones now. Not sure what you plan to do with the phone, but any potential buyer should understand that complication. The phone isn't unlocked, so I am not sure if you can use it on another carrier. I've been using it as a WiFi device, and it works very well that way, but I don't really need it for that anymore.
can I use it on an existing account on virgin mobile?
i checked with virgin mobile. if it was originally and still is a virgin mobile phone i can use it. i will buy today if we can agree on a price.
I bought it as a Virgin Mobile phone through Best Buy and bought a prepaid Virgin Mobile plan. When I upgraded to a Galaxy S9+, I got a great deal at Best Buy, and switched to another carrier who had a similar prepaid plan (Virigin Mobile doesn't support the s9+). I did carry over my phone number, and I am assuming you would want to use your current number. So I think you would be ok. I will be sending the phone w/o a SIM card, so I think you would need to get that from Virgin Mobile. How about a 10 % discount, say $145?
why no sim card? that will cost me $10 and may prevent me from using it?
This is from Swappa's FAQ.
SIM cards are tied to a user's account and are not transferable to another user. Thus, SIM cards should not be expected / included with used device sales (unless otherwise stated on a listing).
As a buyer, you will be expected to provide your own SIM card, as they must be tied to your account.
New / unused SIM cards may be included with a sale, but this should not be assumed. You're welcome to ask a seller about this before purchase by contacting them on their listing page.
I would suggest seeing if you can get a SIM card from Virgin
If you already have a Virgin account, then maybe you can use the SIM card from your current device.
thanks for the information. appreciate the education. I am new to swappa. i'll check with virgin mobile.my current sim is a micro and the s7 uses a nano.
I contacted virgin mobile yesterday. they should tell me today if they can/will provide me with a nano chip for this s7. if so I will gladly purchase the phone for $145. i'll let you know as soon as I hear from them.
Still available?
Yes, it is still avaliable
I can offer 145
I guess you saw the above exchange about needing a SIM Card from Virgin Mobile. If you understand all that, then, yes, I will take $145.
Price has changed to reflect your lower bid. Buy away!!
