Brie, does the controller feel weird, or just look weird? Sounds like the cleaner go whatever stuff off of it, just left some spots. Are the Analog sticks and buttons are all responsive, for example if I push right on the d-pad it pops back to its original place when I stop applying pressure? I just ask because I've seen stuff like orange juice get into controllers and the buttons stick down after you push on them.
