What is the serial so I can check warranty options? Thanks.

According to Swappa’s policies I’m not allowed to share the serial number.

Nov 18, 2018 - 10:30 AM

From what I read on their help page they just don’t want sellers sharing the ESN/IMEI. But maybe I didn’t read the same thing you did.

Sellers should not share ESN / MEID / IMEI numbers. This FAQ page explains why: http://swappa.com/faq/sell/share_esn_numbers

Nov 18, 2018 - 10:47 AM

Serial number is not included in that list. Correct?

Brandon W. Seller

My understanding is ESN is the serial number.

Nov 18, 2018 - 01:33 PM

"An ESN is the electronic serial number assigned to your iPhone and is used with CDMA phones instead of SIM cards." per Engadget.com

A normal serial number is something completely different. All iOS devices (and pretty much every piece of electronics) have a serial number. As far as I have read ONLY devices with cellular capabilities have the additional ESN/IMEI/MEID/CCID. This allows for the devices to register with the mobile networks.

Anyway, posting the normal serial number allows people to check the warranty status of Apple devices. Your original reply came a little late for me. I had already purchased a different iPad. But good luck with the sale.

Is there any signs of wear on the device at all? Any lighter spots on the back from being held and/or any scratches/scuffs on the screen or body? Also, is there any warranty left?

Brandon W. Seller
- Nov 27, 2018 - 06:06 PM

There are no signs of wear that I can find. The iPad had a skin on it most of the time that I have had it so it is in excellent condition. No, the warranty has expired.

Nov 28, 2018 - 01:45 PM

Are there any small scratches on the screen? Sorry just want to make sure. I will pay right now if you can ship Priority Mail Express today.

There might be a couple small superficial scratches on the screen in the right light but are not easy see. I can ship priority mail express today.
