hi, i'm interested in using this device with Sprint.
reddit suggests using Ting byod tool may auto-request adding IMEI to the Sprint database, so Sprint's tool will recognize it in a couple of hours.
would you mind checking compatibility results with the Ting byod IMEI checker?
and if it reports compatible with CDMA there...
then would you please wait a couple of hours and check compatibility results with the Sprint byod IMEI checker afterward?
thanks.
Hello, post the links and I'll check it for you. Thank you
hi, thanks for the fast reply.
https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/bring-your-phone-to-sprint.html
further reddit reading hints a common mistake is that Sprint uses 14 digit code as the MEID so may need to leave off the 15th digit of IMEI when testing (but i'm guessing Ting's tool will figure it out).
hope that helps.
Hello, here is what the Ting site says:" Great news!
Your phone is compatible with Ting.
If your Moto Z Play (2nd Gen), is unlocked you can bring it to Ting today! It will support the following services on our GSM network. "
Hello, the Sprint site says the following:"This phone can't be activated
Sorry, but this phone can't be activated with Sprint service. Try to re-enter your IMEI or try another phone."
ah well, mayhaps the reddit theory was incorrect then, as long as you chopped off that 15th digit while checking, thanks for trying though.
