Awesome, thank you. Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.
Hello Eric, a brand new 13" from the Apple store, with 2Ghz i5, 16gb of Ram and 512GB ssd is currently $1899, brand new.
Let me know if you are willing to take a lower offer.
Thank You!
-J
Hi J, You are right, that configuration does cost $1899. However my computer has a 2.9 Ghz i5 processor not a 2Ghz. AppleCare is also attached to the computer until 2018. Based on my asking price I believe what I'm selling has more value.
Hey Eric, that sounds good, best of luck with your sale, but if you wanna lower the price let me know.
Thank You!
-J
A fully loaded i7 16gb with 1TB just sold for $1600. Are you willing to lower the price?
I agree let's start the bidding, the computer is depreciating hourly, hopefully Eric L wants to sell it before too long.
I'm not dropping the price any lower based on the condition of the machine and the included Applecare. I'll be more than willing to provide more pictures if requested.
Ok. The exact same MacBook just sold for $1325. Doesn't sound like you want to sell. Best of luck!
That price was due to the condition of the machine which was listed as 'Good'
The battery is designed to retain up to 80% of its original capacity at 1000 complete charge cycles. The machine has Applecare and that would cover the cost of a battery replacement. Battery also has no bearing on the Swappa rating scale.
A Mint system is one described as having "No signs of use." Yours has 235 full battery discharges. That's quite a bit of use.
Apple won't replace the battery unless it's defective. The price for a new battery after it's gone thought it's cycles is sepeate from AppleCare.
When any battery in an Apple product is 80% consumed it becomes available to replace at a cost, unless you have Applecare. We aren't splitting the atom here.
"MacBook batteries are designed to retain up to 80% of their original capacity at 1000 complete charge cycles, similar to the iPad and Apple Watch."
So if you reach 1000 cycles and after 1000 your battery captacity is less than 80% and its before the expiration of AppleCare, then yes. If all three of those criteria at met, but if one of the three is not. You have to pay for a new battery out of pocket.
if I am not mistaken this is the 2015 model correct? best buy has this for 1499+3yr apple care = $1682 using the student discount. could your consider revising your price?
