I am interested, but it is essential that I be able to root the phone, and at this time the newer versions cannot be rooted. Can you please go to the Settings / "About Phone" screen and tell me the last 4 digits of the Baseband version?

I am not asking for the IMEI number, or anything else that is unique to the phone. I am asking for the specific software version that is installed, the "Baseband version". That is the only way to determine if it can be rooted.
