MacBook Pro 2011 (Unibody) - 15" MacBook

Summary

Prefect condition, top of the line MBP 15" (early 2011) with SSD, GPU

I am selling a Macbook Pro 15" (early 2011) with the following specs (more detailed specs at https://support.apple.com/kb/sp644?locale=en_US, MD318LL/A):

2.2 GHz quad-core i7 processor, matte screen, fast 512 GB SSD, 8GB RAM, AMD Radeon 6750 M GPU with 512 MB GDDR5 RAM, 2-3 hour battery life

I should note that the processor is very fast, and this was one of the first laptops with a 512 GB SSD which makes everything much snappier than old laptops with hard-disks. The matte screen (which was an add-on) is much easier for the eyes than the non-matte screen and in total, this laptop cost $3,800. It has been my work laptop (I am a computer science PhD student) for the past ~6 years and it works flawlessly.

If it helps, this laptop has a few of the old school features such as a DVD drive, SD card reader and Ethernet!

Apple had run a program (https://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues) wherein they replaced the motherboard of this laptop for free. I got it done in Feb 2015, so the motherboard (which is basically, the CPU, RAM and GPU) is almost new. I still get almost 2-3 hours of battery life (although the "Service Battery" icon is on); I have used it like this for the past 1-2 years primarily because I really like the laptop. If you'd like to update the battery, it is quite easy with the iFixit tutorial (https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/MacBook+Pro+15-Inch+Unibody+Early+2011+Battery+Replacement/5889).

Comes with:

original box, original charger (I have taped the wire where it had frayed a little, the charger works flawlessly), original user guide and the laptop :)

I will ship it after wiping the hard-drive and it will come with a fresh installation of OS X Mavericks (10.9.5).
