Does this have performance base?

The refurbished warranty from MS is 1 year. Why is yours only 3 months? Is that the remaining warranty?

Thanks for the question! This is a new unopened refurbished unit that was given to me by staff at the Microsoft store after my previous machine had a hardware defect. Apparently they stopped carrying new units of the model I previously had. This unit comes with a 3 month warranty from Microsoft. They may honor an extended warranty period if requested.

Why is this refurbished unit with a partial warranty listed at $200 higher than the brand new price for the same model on Microsoft's website? 512GB HD, 16 GB RAM, i7 processor - but even a brand new unit from the website would come with a type cover, which yours does not, and full warranty, which yours does not, and it would be brand new - which yours is not (refurbished is not the same as new FYI). So why the price hike?

hi i'm interested in buying but just to clarify the specs on this thing. since the dgpu is not specified it's assumed that this is NOT the performance base bc the performance base specifies the GPU as 965M. can you also provide a zoomed in look at the specs on the back of the box?

I would love to if I could, but this exact sealed refurbished device sells from microsoft's website for $2299, so that's quite a hit.. $1799 is coming down $400 already not to mention the fee + shipping I'm paying. This unit sold new for $2799 + tax.

I'm a medical student so every dollar counts at this point.. So sorry I don't think I can go any lower :(

This was discussed earlier in the comments and updated in the listing, but just want to make sure it's clear that the warranty was good for 3 months at the time this listing was first created, so until 5/17/17. Since the device is still sealed in the box and you will be the new owner Microsoft will hopefully extend it for you or give you the option to purchase a new one. Just want to make sure you knew - don't want any surprises!

I went on the link and I did not see any mention of 3months warranty. I saw one year limited warranty. Also, how would I extended the warranty on it as you are saying?

Sorry for any confusion and if this wasn't clear. This device that I'm selling was given to me at the Microsoft store as a replacement for my original unit and has a 3 month limited warranty from the day I received it. When I was at the store I didn't think to check about the warranty status so I called them later and they told me a manager at a store could extend the warranty. It may be able to be done through their online help desk as well.

@Rick Hi - Sorry on the delay, I had to take this listing down for a bit as I was tending to a family emergency and could not stay on top of responding, shipping and such. Microsoft Complete may be able to be added - that would need to be a discussion had with a store manager most likely.
