I believe it's factory unlocked. Usually Apple doesn't give a phone that is carrier unlocked. They usually give you exactly what you purchased. And this is unlocked.

Because it was an spplecare replacement the warranty had now expired because they warrantied the original phone. This phone is brand new and has never been activated.

Can It be activated with any sim card from atound the world?

I'm not an expert on international call service. It's gsm and CDMA unlocked if that helps. You can check with your carrier to determine.

Thanks, saw that too. I know my service provider uses LTE band supported by the device... I am just afraid the phone itself will accept an overseas SIM card for its first activation (should not be a problem for apple sold SIM-Free unlocked phones).
