Hi, I have a couple questions.
Was the phone kept in a case?
Has it fell and hit the ground without a case on it, from a high distance?
Have you had any issues with the wireless radios staying connected; GPS, 4g, etc..
Was the operating system ever modified resulting in the KNOX security counter being incremented?
I'm interested in this device to replace my now broken S3, I ask these questions because I've ran into issues with both of the samsung phones i've owned in the past.
Thanks for your time,
Joe
Hello Joseph,
The phone was kept in a case for the about a year of the 2.5 years I had it. There were a few times the phone fell to the ground from my desk without a case, which is about 30 inches off the ground. A feature I really liked with this phone though is that the back cover would come off during impacts, which I felt did a very good job of mitigating any serious damage to the phone.
I never noticed any issues with wireless radios staying connected, this always seemed to work really well.
I also never modified the operating system, so I don't think there was any issues with KNOX security.
Hope this helped, feel free to reach out if you have any other questions.
Jeff
Jeff,
I appreciate the response and info. Just have another question in regards to the charge port.
Is the port cover still in good shape; closes firmly, opens without falling off, etc.
Does the charge port hold a firm connection with usb cables and fast charge cables. My old samsung I had to position the cable preciously and and then wrap the wire around my phone to keep it in place to charge.
Thanks again!
I just replaced the charge port cover. I found that they last about a year before needing replacement, can be found for about $1 online, and takes only a few minutes with a mini-screwdriver. With the USB 3.0 cable I found the connection held very well. In addition, with the included battery wall charger it is very easy to swap in a fully charged battery without ever having to even plug in.
Let me know if you have any other questions,
Jeff
