Hi, the main case it comes with is the white/grey Ballistic case; also with two other smaller TPU like skin cases.

What version of android is on it? I personally would like a rooted phone so I don't have to do it myself. Is there custom recovery?

It is currently rooted. If it is a determining factor for you I can do whatever you would like to it. I have had it up to 4.2 stock rooted, and believe I have had it up to 4.4 custom ROM rooted. If that is really a determining factor I can also look into that?

Ok, stock 4.2 or anything that doesn't lock the bootloader (just in case), cwm or twrp recovery installed, rooted. If ok, then I will buy it $85.

Ok currently running 4.3, it is rooted but with a custom ROM (Touch Wiz inspired). Is that ok, or want stock?

As long as the bootloader isn't locked, it should be ok. Someday if I get brave, I want to try CM 13. If you are sure on the bootloader, then I will buy it.

Ok, it has been sometime since I have done some stuff with it. CWM is currently the recovery so the bootloader should be unlocked. If you want and give me a day I can whip it, bring it back to stock, and re-root and install a custom recovery again?

I am not sure what your plan is. Also you know it is a Version phone correct?

I know it's Verizon. It should be ok with custom rom and recovery and it's rooted. So... I will buy it.
