Step 2: Sign Out of iCloud or Your Samsung\/Google Account (The Critical Step)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  5. Enter your Apple Account password if prompted to confirm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    On iPadOS 18 and earlier: tap your name > Sign Out, enter your Apple Account password, and confirm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Samsung Galaxy tablets use Samsung’s Reactivation Lock, which works similarly. If your Samsung account is still linked at the time of factory reset, the tablet will require your Samsung credentials to activate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
