If you&#8217;re like me and you have a drone sitting in your closet that rarely if ever gets used, you can sell it on Swappa and pocket some quick cash. Creating a listing is quick and easy. If you have a couple of minutes and a PayPal account, you can turn that expensive dust collector into some green.  Let&#8217;s jump into the Drone selling process on Swappa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You Can Sell New or Used<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Sellers can list drones as Used or New.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A New condition drone is <strong>unused and unflown<\/strong> (with zero flight hours).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Used condition drone is <strong>fully functional<\/strong> with the accessories listed below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requirements for Drone Listings on Swappa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Drone: Must be fully functional<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Propellers: Minimum 1 undamaged set<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Battery: Minimum 1 functional battery. It must include a charger if one is needed to charge the battery (some batteries can charge while in the drone via a cable)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Controller: Must be fully functional, the controller must hold a charge, no cracks in the screen (if applicable), and sticks must be included (if applicable)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The drone must be <strong>deregistered <\/strong>from the manufacturer&#8217;s account and the <a href=\"https:\/\/faadronezone-access.faa.gov\/#\/\">FAA DroneZone<\/a> website (if applicable).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Create a Drone Listing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating a drone listing on Swappa is a free, simple process that will only take you a few minutes. You\u2019ll need a pen, paper, and a camera (a smartphone will do). You won\u2019t have to pay a penny until your listing sells.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 1 \u2013 Create a Swappa Account and Connect PayPal<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can log in to an existing Swappa account or register for one from our <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/login\">Login Page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Payments on Swappa are processed through PayPal. You\u2019ll need to <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/my\/profile\/paypal\">connect your PayPal account<\/a> to your Swappa account to receive payments for listings you sell on Swappa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 2 \u2013&nbsp; Find Your Drone in Our Catalog<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To start the listing process, you\u2019ll need to find your drone in our product catalog. You can use the search bar at the top of the <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/\">Swappa.com<\/a> homepage or browse through our <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/drones\">drone product page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-us.googleusercontent.com\/qTHhMixyikM6nXOk-GW-g_lt7Ge3p4cOmH4g7roAF7Hug1th9a7wCrYrQgt2xxfxWhCppnU0jMXL5c55LeTcwTfHZHmvpEJGnMEnOCfGIiSSiSjtEXjRMce9-C4KApODtEiSA7Wcawafm4x4pELZF5U\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 3 \u2013 Create Your Listing<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When you\u2019ve located your drone, click the \u2018Sell Now\u2019 button on the product page and the listing creation form will open. Follow the form prompts, filling in all the required information to create your listing. When you submit the listing creation form, a listing page for your item will be created on Swappa with a unique Listing Code. You will receive your listing ask price minus the Swappa seller fee and the PayPal payment transaction fee<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Step 4 \u2013 Take Photos and Video of Your Drone<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ve submitted your listing and it\u2019s time to take photos. Follow the instructions on the photo upload page. You\u2019ll need at least one <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/blog\/what-is-a-verification-photo\/\">valid verification photo<\/a> along with a series of photos showing what is included in your listing. Take photos of your drone from all angles clearly showing any and all wear. It\u2019s important that the photos are in focus and accurately represent what the buyer will receive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sellers on Swappa should always strive for transparency and accuracy when it comes to listing condition. There\u2019s no reason to hide the true condition of a device. If what the buyer receives doesn\u2019t match the listing condition and photos, the seller could be stuck with a costly return. Accurately describe any wear in your listing description and show it in your photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to photos, you can upload a video of your drone up to 90 seconds long and 100MB big. You could show it flying or demonstrate that it\u2019s working by pairing it to the controller in a video. Once it\u2019s moderated and approved, your listing will be available for purchase. You will receive emails from potential buyers if they have any questions about your listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When your listing sells, you\u2019ll receive a notification via email and a private sale page will be created. You can communicate with your buyer on this private sale page and upload the shipment tracking information once you\u2019ve shipped.
