To buy or sell on Swappa, you\u2019ll need an account. Don\u2019t worry, opening a Swappa account won\u2019t cost you anything. It takes just a minute to get started and you\u2019ll have access to a marketplace full of thousands of gently used devices and a community that’s passionate about tech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is no monthly fee or one-time charge to use the Swappa marketplace. All you need to do is fill out a simple form and confirm your account through your email.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selling Accounts on Swappa<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Creating a listing on Swappa is always free. It won\u2019t cost you anything to create a listing. You only pay a small fee<\/a> to Swappa when your listing sells. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are three types of sellers on Swappa<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Individual Seller <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Power Seller<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Enterprise Seller<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Unless you have a registered business that sells phones, tablets, laptops, or other devices on Swappa in significant volume, you are most likely an individual seller. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Individual sellers<\/strong> can buy and sell on Swappa just like a business but they don\u2019t have access to some of the more powerful features when it comes to creating listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Power sellers<\/strong> are registered businesses that repair, refurbish, or resell devices. They have access to tools like Incoming Inventory<\/a> that speed up the listing creation process for batches of devices. Power sellers are allowed to use their profile code in listing verification photos rather than the unique listing code.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Enterprise sellers<\/strong> have all the benefits of a Power seller but they are able to create listings with multiple quantities. An enterprise seller lists and sells a significant number of devices on Swappa every month and is held to a very high customer satisfaction standard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Seller Ratings<\/strong> – Unlike some other marketplaces, only sellers receive ratings on Swappa. So, just because a user does not have any ratings doesn’t mean they aren’t an experienced Swappa user. We have many buyers who have purchased hundreds and even thousands of devices but have never sold a single item. If you’re a new seller, don’t be worried if your buyer doesn’t have any reviews tied to their profile. They may not have sold anything on Swappa before so they wont have any ratings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Anatomy of a Swappa Profile<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    How is a Swappa Profile different than a Swappa Account? They are often used synonymously so for this article, a Swappa account can be considered to be the parent entity of a profile. The profile is what is shown to other users on Swappa or the external representation of a Swappa account. You can change your profile name and image. Your profile is what is displayed to other users on Swappa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Can I have more than one Swappa account?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    No, Swappa only allows one account per user. If you have multiple family members in your household that use Swappa, you can each have a Swappa account. If you accidentally open more than one Swappa account, staff may deactivate duplicate accounts and direct you back to the account with a history of sales\/feedback. However, you can choose to use a newly created account assuming you do not have any detrimental issues tied to your older account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Do I have to have a PayPal account to sell on Swappa?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Why was a hold placed on my Swappa account?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
