And, one item that has recently been added to Swappa\u2019s approved selling list is large. In fact, it is so large that our other shipping guides aren\u2019t going to help. Instead, you\u2019ll need to prep the bike, pack the bike, and arrange to ship the bike using a specialty shipping service \u2013 and all of this should be done <em>before<\/em> listing your Peloton for sale.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><strong><em>Tip:<\/em><\/strong><em> On Swappa, buyers get <\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/faq\/answer\/safe-standard-shipping-policies\"><em>free standard shipping<\/em><\/a><em>. This means that sellers need to factor in the cost of shipping before they list an item for sale. With something small, such as a smartphone, this may not be quite as important \u2013 but due to the size and weight of the Peloton \u2013 you\u2019ll want to get an estimate for shipping before you list it for sale. A good way to get a fair estimate is to use a location that is the furthest away from where you will be shipping from, and then base the shipping cost on that number.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Taking care of the prep work before listing your Peloton for sale will help you avoid any unwelcome surprises in terms of shipping costs. It will also help to ensure a smooth transaction for your buyer. Tap the 3-dot icon in the lower right corner of the display and navigate to Device Settings -&gt; About Tablet -&gt; Status<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Your Peloton can be factory reset by navigating to Settings -&gt; System -&gt; Factory Reset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Pack-your-Peloton-for-shipping\"><\/span>Pack your Peloton for shipping<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now that you\u2019ve located the serial numbers and performed a factory reset \u2013 you can move on to packing your Peloton for shipping. The packing process begins with removing some items from the bike. Specifically, you will need to remove the touchscreen, pedals, sweat guard, water bottle holder, and weight holders. But quite often the original boxes and packing materials aren\u2019t saved, so in that case \u2013 our recommendation is to find suitable shipping materials that are <em>as close to the original shipping materials as possible<\/em>. Or alternatively, you may also consider using a professional packing service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How-to-ship-your-Peloton-exercise-bike\"><\/span>How to ship your Peloton exercise bike<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As noted earlier in this post \u2013 due to the size and weight of the Peloton, regular shipping options are not going to work. For reference, the Peloton weighs 135 or 140 pounds, depending on the model. Instead, you\u2019ll need to look for specialty shipping services, such as what is available with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uship.com\/\">uShip<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fedex.com\/en-us\/shipping\/freight\/ltl.html\">FedEx LTL<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Swappa does not have any affiliation with uShip or FedEx LTL, but both services provide multiple options for shipping larger and heavier items, such as Peloton exercise bikes \u2013 including the option to get free estimates, which goes back to our earlier tip \u2013 ideally, you should get a shipping estimate before you list your Peloton for sale on Swappa to avoid any unwelcome surprises.
