Never go less than 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.<\/li>\n<li>If your price range fits it, go with i5 processor 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage for more multi-tasking and documents and college photos to store.<\/li>\n<li>The 13&#8243; has good screen size, great battery life starting in 2013, and very portable.<\/li>\n<li>Close runner up a used or refurbished <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/buy\/macbooks\/macbook-air\"><strong>Macbook Air<\/strong><\/a>. Smaller screen and less battery life (smaller batteries) but same performance. Again, never go less than 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.<\/li>\n<li>Third runner up: <a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/buy\/apple-macbook-air-2013-13\"><strong>a gently used 13&#8243; Macbook Pro 2013<\/strong><\/a> and newer&nbsp;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>College and up who need to write and conduct web research; also likes gaming or has to do video editing for their major:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team Swappa recommends a used or refurbished <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/swappa.com\/buy\/apple-macbook-pro-2013-retina-15\">2013 15&#8243;&nbsp;Retina Macbook Pro<\/a><\/strong> and up with a graphics card. Gaming and editing video depend on a graphics card to do the heavy lifting. Note:&nbsp;This will not be very portable due to the size and weight and will not have long battery life because of how powerful it is.<\/li>\n<li>No less than 16GB RAM, no less i7 processor, no less than 256GB storage (video takes up a lot of storage).<\/li>\n<li>While it needs to fit your budget, the higher up in years the better the graphics card will be.<\/li>\n<li>This would also be suitable for anyone who&nbsp;rarely needs a laptop but wants a Mac as a desktop with a monitor, keyboard, and mouse.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Anyone wanting to be very portable and really cares about look and design:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Team Swappa recommends&nbsp;used&nbsp;or refurbished 2015 MacBooks and newer.
