Swappa uses PayPal as its main payment processor because it brings buyer protection, seller protection, and a formal dispute process. Every seller on Swappa is required to have a PayPal account, which is why PayPal checkout works on every listing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paying With a PayPal Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Click Buy Now<\/strong> on a listing, confirm your shipping address and the sale summary, then pay with PayPal. In the PayPal window you can choose any funding source linked to your account: your PayPal balance, a bank account, or a debit or credit card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Your shipping address matters. Swappa passes the address you enter at checkout to PayPal, and sellers must ship to that address to keep PayPal protection. You cannot change it after you pay, so double-check it first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Paying by Card Without a PayPal Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Some business sellers, Power Sellers and Enterprise Sellers, also accept cards through Stripe<\/strong>. On those listings you enter your card directly on the Swappa checkout page instead of going through the PayPal window. Look for the card icon on a listing, or use the Accepts Stripe<\/strong> filter to show only those listings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Stripe is one of the largest card processors in the world, and your card details are handled by Stripe, not by the seller. Swappa’s listing standards and return policy apply to Stripe orders the same way.     What About Pay in 4 and PayPal Credit?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Swappa’s payment page lists PayPal account funding sources, PayPal guest card checkout, and Stripe card payments. It does not list PayPal Pay in 4 or other buy now, pay later plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If a payment fails for any reason, you may see a pending authorization on your card or PayPal account for a few days. That is not a charge. Contact Swappa Support<\/a> if you are not sure whether a purchase went through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Only pay through Swappa’s checkout. Swappa’s protections, including PayPal buyer protection and the return policy, apply only to purchases made there. Do not:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
