Summary

HTC Evo 4G LTE in reasonable condition, still very usable (with case and 8GB SD card) PRICE DROP!

Phone shows signs of regular use, still has a plenty of life left in it though. The edges have some scuffs and the back plate has signs of wear from being in a case all the time (funny how cases protect but also do damage of their own).

The screen itself is in great shape as far as scratches go. I won't say perfect but there's nothing that jumps out at me. There are a few oddities though - there are some spots which have a whitish discoloration to them. This shows up most prominently on a white background, and other times it is impossible to see. One line is about an inch long, then there's a few other small spots. More visible when you tip the phone back. Screen remains legible and most of the time you won't even see it. I'll try to capture pics of this but I'm not sure how it will work.

The other issue has to go with screen rotation to landscape mode. It stopped working. The device passes a G-Sensor calibration so it's not a hardware problem. When I do a factory reset, the rotation works fine.... but after updating all my installed apps, at some point it breaks again. This appears to be a common problem based on my searching . Since I moved on to a new phone and carrier, I gave up trying to research. There may very well be a fix by now, or it might be an incompatibility with a single app that could then be removed for a fix - but you'll need to search on your own. Without rotation it remains usable but texting is more difficult in portrait mode. I was thinking of unlocking and trying an alternate ROM to see if that does the trick, but I never got around to it.
