I was going to buy this phone but there was a new 64gb 5s for $450 so I bought that instead

But Shen hui this is rare it still has iOS 6 even though iOS 8.4 was released today and jailbreak is available people want the older version ( where those people are who knows ). Sure you can buy a good condition 16 gb iPhone 6 for the same price or brand new 5s any gb for less or if you want to double buy 2 16gb iPhone 5 and still have some money leftover.
You are all so naive. I've sold dozens of these on E-bay for 489-499 each! There is a demand for iOS 6. You're welcome! Lol!
