I just contacted Sprint. They say that they have a 90-day policy for unlocking phones. That is, the phone has to have been activated for 90 days before they unlock it. As I have put another phone on my phone number, I can't meet the policy. Sorry.

that is why I left them!
it is not that they lie but they don't tell their customers the whole truth.
they told me the same thing last year then i called back and got someone else.
all i had to do is activate the phone i wanted to unlock with my current sprint #
then have them unlock it and then simply have them put my number back on my original phone.
and, no there is no phoney baloney activation fees, we pay enough as sprint customers.
That is until I left i switched to asfones talk & text.
but thats another story!
