LG G Pad 8.3 - 16GB, Black, Original box, all accessories included.

Minor scuff/dent on outer shell at top left corner. Includes original box and all accessories, still wrapped (I had my own chargers, so didn't bother unwrapping the included ones). Original documentation included as well. Aside from the scuff on the corner (I'll take a photo of that specifically), this would be mint, almost new in box. IR blaster works great for turning on/off the TV when you can't find the remote too.

Listing approved. Thanks for using Swappa.

Are you willing to come down in price? The dent in the corner is aa big deal cause it means it was dropped hard. Also, most "good" condition units have been selling for around $150 and mint for $170.

Fair points. It's been a while since I listed, so I should probably adjust the price some. How's $160? In regards to the fall, it was literally from my laptop bag at about waist height to the floor. I picked my bag up wrong and it slid out of the outside pocket I kept it in. I continued to use it as my daily tablet for a few months after that with no issues. The only reason I'm giving it up is I won an Nvidia Shield tablet in a contest and really like the stylus input. :)

is there any back light bleed? This means that there is visible light coming out from the side

No, no light bleed that I've ever seen, regardless of angle.

Hay, I live in MD - Can meet you, [email protected]

Sure. I'm in the Gaithersburg/Rockville area. What area are you located in? If you'd prefer to meet for delivery we can do that. Purchase would still need to go through swappa/paypal since it's listed here and site policy and all.

- Apr 23, 2015 - 08:55 AM

Yes I'm in Howard County Laurel... And the final price you'll do is 160?

Yeah, I just lowered the listing price. We can discuss when and where to meet and all on the buyer/seller private chat page. Thanks!

Just to let you know, I am going with another option - That ding - just bothers me, for the price anyway - Thanks!

@Carlton, no worries. That's totally understandable. I was surprised when I saw the ding after it fell from my bag too. The metal that covers the back is thinner/softer than I expected. Thanks for letting me know though. Enjoy your new tablet, the GPad is a surprisingly nice option in the mid-size tablet space. I think you'll be happy with it.

Thanks - I actually purchased a bigger one - The Nexus 10, from someone on here. I own the LG G2 and even though I like the phone, I think the tablet would be nice, but its kind of like Samsung with those extras APPS that you cant Delete - So that is why I got the Nexus 10 - Nexus 7 is too small for what I wanted. Thanks again!

Would you take the tablet for $125?

sohjsolwin Seller
- Jun 20, 2015 - 05:33 PM

125 is a bit too low for me. Thank you though.

Jul 07, 2015 - 10:21 PM

Hi sohjsolwin I know you said no to 125 to the last user but in case you have changed your mind please let me know. I would take it.

@Parwinder, yeah, it's been up there for a while, so I'm a bit more receptive to lowering the price now. Can you do 135? That should leave me with about 100 (give or take a dollar or two) after swappa, paypal, and shipping takes it's cut. I can ship it out today.

Jul 08, 2015 - 11:59 AM

@sohjsolwin I'm worried about the dent as well. Also I have a keen interest in Nexus 7 which is a little cheaper. That is why I'm asking to settle for 125.

Your concern of the dent is understandable, and it looks a lot worse in the picture than it does in person. I tried to get as close, clear shot as I could so as to not misrepresent. If there's any tests or alternative pictures you'd like that would help to alleviate your concern, just let me know. The metal that LG used for the GPad aroudn the edges and corners is a soft, aluminum feeling metal, not the hard composite metal used in things like the iPods and recent flagship smartphones. It really is more akin to a scuff than a dent, but I felt referring to it as a dent was best considering the circumstances under which it occurred. I'll attempt to get better shots of different angles to help clarify. I can attest that it affects the performance and structural integrity in no way, the screen is not cracked or chipped in any way, and everything works flawlessly.

As a side note, I have owned and used the N7 original, the updated N7 LTE, N10, N6, This GPad, Shield Tablet, and now the Nexus 9. I moved from the N7 LTE to this Gpad and in my opinion they function similarly well. The N7 has the benefit of stock android and easy rooting/roming support, but the Gpad has the added benefit of a larger screen (while maintaining pretty similar size ratios. The GPad actually fit in my pocket better than the N7), and a surprisingly useful IR blaster feature (for using as a remote control for your TV, Fan, etc). I feel the N7 and GPad are pretty on par with each other. I prefer the shield tablet to either due to it's accessory support (though that lacks NFC support) and now I've moved on to the N9 which I very much like due to the ratio. I read a lot on these devices and the N9 works great for that. This Gpad worked really well for that as well due to it's size and ratio.

If you have any specific questions about any of the above mentioned devices, I will be glad to answer as best I can from personal experience to help you find the tablet that fits best for what you're looking to get out of it/use it for.

I uploaded a few more photos. I tried to get a "normal view" shot and a few unflattering shots of as much detail of the dent/scuff that I could.

Jul 08, 2015 - 05:17 PM

Thanks sohjsolwin for all the input. I appreciate it. I have to decide and get a tablet today. If $125 is doable I'll be more than happy to or else I'll have to go for N7 through Amazon.

I've lowered the listing to 125. I'll be able to ship it out tomorrow, as our shipping center has already closed for the day.
