The rooting process trips the knox flag and voids the warranty, so no it is not under warranty.
The tablet was bought this month.

Hi James,
I have not used this tablet much (hence the selling of it) and don't have any exact numbers.
However I have easily made it through the day with moderate use, multiple email syncing, browsing, taking notes, etc... and the 4.4.2 update/rom definitely helped smooth out the performance.

As for roms, there are a good number available. I choose this one due to it's heavy usage/reviews and it's mostly stock features. Here is a link to more info on the custom roms etc...
