i have some rooting experience.. did root touchpad, note 2, nook color before.... anything wrong with the rooting for this device?? Also any scratches on the device.. I jst saw nook hd 7 inch refurb for $70.00 so still in doubts abt buy this for $45.00

Good, I just wanted to make sure this didn't go to someone that does know how to root etc.... Root on this device is fine. There may be a few tiny scratches that you could only see with the screen off, under a light and at an angle.... As for the price, well - its the first day so 45 is as low as i would go. Any lower and I would clear less than $20 net.
