Hi Joe,
I use an EVO 4G and am thinking about giving it to my less techie wife. As I'm not into buying $700 new androids and don't breathe, eat and sleep cottonpickin' phones, I'm wondering how you liked your 4G LTE's overall performance.
I find it a tad unusual that it has a plug-in, rather than snap-in battery when my 4G is an older model. Did you have a separate charger that you could plug your spare battery to? From my research on the net, I'm not seeing a larger extended battery and cover for the 4G LTE.
Thanks,
Ray
Hi Ray, the phone has worked great for 2.5 years. I would still be using it, but my office door lock requires the newer Android 4.4. I had it in a case with a screen cover and it is in great condition. Perfect size. Good camera 8 Megapixel and battery life. 1.5 GHz processor. Top of the line 3-4 years ago. Battery replacement requires dis-assembly, you can do it with YouTube video.
Good afternoon Joe,
I assume this comes with Wi-Fi? Thinking this might make a good internet only device for my son and I might mule it into the penitentiary for him. I don't know about that charger though, it looks painful...
Sorry Joe but I should also asked if it will set off a metal detector? the reason I ask is because I go rock climbing on a regular basis utilizing petroleum jelly for the safety of myself and fellow climbers. Have you ever gotten petroleum jelly inside the phone? Do you think it's pretty impervious to viscoelastic chemicals?
