Is this phone GSM Sim unlocked

Hi Aleksander - As far as I know, it is. Here is its track record:
-Acquired new from Apple store on May 25, no cell provider involved
-Activated it with Ting, a Sprint provider, from home
-De-activated and erased all data after 1 month use
-There has never been a Sim card to store any data/locking in the phone
From what I understand, that means it's unlocked, which is why I listed it as such. I've checked the "swappa staff" below so that they can verify for us...

can you ask Sprint, it is unlocked for international use ?

Anne, if the phone was originally a sprint device it should never go in our "unlocked" category. However the device can be unlocked for other carriers or international use. This is what Aleksander is asking and we do not check that for you. You will have to contact Sprint to find out.

Hi Paul. It was not originally a sprint device. I purchased a sprint phone from Swappa, the wifi didn't work (see document in images & explanation in my product description), so I returned it to apple using the warranty, then got a brand new, clean iphone 4 that had no carrier. They did not even activate it at the store. I *then* activated Ting on it. I know you can't check anything persay, but that means that the phone is unlocked, correct? My original phone wasn't, but this one should be. There was no sym card involved.

Hello, I spoke with Ting today and was assured that the phone is unlocked. Apple should have given me a Sprint phone when I went in to get mine replaced, but they gave me an unlocked phone, which is why it didn't work with Ting (Ting can only work with Spring phones; Sprint can often work with unlocked phones but not Ting, though it's under Sprint). I am going to re-list under unlocked. Thank you for your help.
