Hey there! Is this a phone that takes a SIM card or not? I already made a mistake on last swappa phone I got so just checking! Also... could you overnight it to me in WV -- please?! (I'm leaving Wednesday AM)
Thanks.
Karen
It takes a standard SIM card, is a Verizon phone but it's usable on almost any network. I can overnight it as long as it's purchased immediately.
Actually.... I need a Verizon one with OUT a sim card. Thank you tho!
I'm going to give a brief explanation of the SIM card system for you Karen. Verizon works off of a CDMA radio frequency unlike AT&T who works off of GSM. 4G LTE is based off of GSM unlike Verizon's 3G network. This is why any and all AT&T phones require SIM cards and only Verizon 4G phones do. If you get a Verizon 3G phone then you won't need a SIM because it runs purely on CDMA instead of running CDMA/GSM. On older, 3G devices on the Verizon network to activate all you need to do is call *228 option 1 and type in the phone number and account pin and it will program unlike the 4G phones that only need you to slip in the SIM.
I'm not sure why you wanted a phone without a SIM, but I hope I was able to help you in some way. Also, the Bionic is a great phone and I love mine.
