Battery should be good, it charges and holds a charge. As for length of time, sorry I do not know, nor do I guarantee any length of time. No sim card. Verizon should provide that to you with their service, and it should be no problem activating this phone. I hope that answers your questions. Thank you, Mike M.

Verizon's been making it a lot more difficult to get a sim for a not-in-service (warm spare) phone so I've had to pay $10 to get sims from third parties to get sims that aren't tied to a particular ID; if you'd be willing to knock that ten off, I'll go $125. Thanks.

ps. I was looking through my left over sim cards, to see if I had one I could send to you. Verizon must be rare. I only had 2 of them and I need them to reset the verizon phones I get. I had dozens of Sprint ones.
