will this phone work out of USA in another carrier wich just provide 3g connection ?
Hello, I'm not certain. I know many Verizon phones are factory unlocked but have no idea about this model. Please Google as that's a better resource than I am on this question. Thanks for your interest and best of luck in your decision.

i have experience use motoroloa droid razr xt920 verizon in Indonesia,(the brother of droid razr maxx, the different is only in battery capacity) and it work flawlessly with GSM provider here, you only need to insert the sim card.
perhaps you can update the firmware to the latest firmware, because the original firmware which come with the device have not support global roaming capabilities yet. i know because i remember i bought this device at 2012, and at first i used it at cdma network. then the update released after a month i used it, i updated the firmware and used the phone with gsm network with 3g/hsdpa data connection.
