Could this be immediately brought to Ting? Or is it at all attached to a Sprint account?? Thanks....

When I check the website it says "Oh no! We can't currently say for sure if your device can come to Ting."

Ok..,so, that means it is most likely sill attached to a Sprint account. Would it be possible for you to terminate that account for this phone? That's the only way it will become usable...(unfortunately that's te problem I keep running into, when I look for a phone.)

It is not attached to an account. It has never been activated. It is 100% clear for activation with sprint. Not all sprint devices can go over to ting . that messages means it may be able to but it can not be verified without more info.

...it's the only way I can know for sure. (That's the mistake I keep making...ordering the phone, before I have confirmed that it will work with Ting ;)

So i just got off the phone with them and the Galaxy S5 and S6 are not eligible to be used on Ting at the moment. That is why it was coming up with that error. Sorry about that. good luck :) He said iphones and nexus are both compatible with Ting if that helps you out a bit.

Hmmmm...Ting sells The S5 and S6. I wonder if that person knew what they were talking about :) I have talked to Ting and Sprint both, and as long as it is not in anyway "attached" to account, it should be ok. Was this an "upgrade" phone??

I can not txt you the MEID. I just got off of 3 way with Ting and Sprint. SInce the phone was purchased from Sprint it needs to be unlocked to be used with Ting and it is not eligible to be unlocked since they are not unlocking s5 and s6's. You can go to Ting and purchase a s5 or a s6 and it will already be unlocked. I am sorry but this phone will not work with Ting, only Sprint.

I just talked to Ting, both over chat, as well as over the phone, and they said that it would have nothing to do with "unlocking" it! Here is what the guy I chatted with said: "If you're coming to ting with a Sprint phone you don't need to unlock it...its most likely a financial issue."
Ting works with Sprint...so a Sprint phone is what I want. The only reason it wouldn't be able to be brought to Ting, would be a "financial" issue. (Meaning, that the phone is still tied to a Sprint contract.) Is that the case?? If so, you can terminate the contract for this particular phone, and it would be "good-to-go" :) Please let me know asap!

No this is not the case. You can not list a phone with any financial issue on Swappa. This phone is 100% clear for activation with Sprint. Not all sprint phones can go to Ting that is why they have a site where you can check to see if they are eligible. This one is not . Sorry but it will not work with Ting.

I use Ting as my provider and I had to find a Sprint phone that was eligible to be brought over. Some just do not work. I am not sure why but they dont and this is one of them. If you were trying to activate this on Sprint it would be no problem.
