iPhone 3 gs, black, 8GB, very good cond. Original box, unlocked. $99

This is an iPhone 3 gs, black, 18 months in use, very good condition since it was in Otterbox Defender case all the time. No dings, scratches, or cracks. (I'll send you the Otterbox, too, for free but it's used as one would expect after 18 months of use.) The phone was AT&T originally but was legitimately factory unlocked a while ago. I have used it in Europe with a T Mobile SIM, and it worked flawlessly. The phone will be reset to factory settings which will not undo/affect its unlocked status.

I'll send it to you in its original box, with USB cable, charger, and headphone. I also have a good suction cup bracket/holder for the car, specifically for iPone 3 gs.

I am only in Manhattan once a week, most of the time only Wednesdays and not in the evening. I would consider hopping on the ferry and meet in the ferry terminal on Manhattan side at some point (e.g., tomorrow, Sat, afternoon). Sending by mail is not an option?

I don't want to sell it for $80. I'll have to pay $10 to swappa and about this much for shipping. I'll end up getting $60 for a phone that really is in excellent condition and unlocked. I can still use it in Europe or my daughter can use it, even if just as a play station, or as a cheap phone running it with T Mobile pay per use.

Battery is good. The 3 gs battery is not as good as the later models but the battery is the same as when I got it first. I do close all open apps always and charge it when I am at a computer.

Battery question#2...what i mean is how much talk time/web use in hours are you currently getting?...the battery is not replaceable thus affects the phones value...thanks

Sorry, I didn't know. When fully charged and if no applications are left open, it stays charged for a long weekend, for example. I only used it for a few phone calls a day, to check my calendar, contacts, as an alarm, and occasional web use (I kept my cellular data off as I have a very limited plan. Mostly used it on Wifi). When I play a game, continuously, it might drop from 100% to 50% in two hours. I never really paid attention much to the battery (it never was a problem for me but I realize that this may be dependent on the way one uses the phone). I didn't notice any change from when I first got it brand new to now, in terms of battery functioning. You'll have three days to return for full credit (except you'd be responsible for return shipping costs). But this should give you time to check the battery. Hope this helps. -- Bertram
