Phone has never been rooted, and I have never unlocked the device

Also device status under the about device tab, is official software.

Just curious as to how was it possible to use this device on other network if it is not unlocked by some other means? Thanks

Not sure, I use Straight Talk now and had the AT&T sim card through their service. So I was curious and tried it and it worked fine, all you have to do is change the apn settings for the network provider.

Any signal issues though, like loosing a few bars or loosing connection while you are talking on the phone with someone?

None at all, I checked my AT&T LTE speeds inside a walmart here in town where I normally had issues with tmobile service and I was getting 2mps on the download speed test and 7mps upload

hi, are you sure you did not use any of the free unlocking that can be seen on the internet like youtube, xda, and other forums?

Positive, I never root any of my phones and I know I have never unlocked the device, but it is working with the Straight Talk AT&T sim card, also if I install an AT&T sim card it reads it in the apn settings so I guess it unlocked not sure. I just bought it new from. Tmobile.

can you get an unlock code from tmobile and include it with the sale, just in case ?

Sure, I will contact them right now. My friend unlocked his phone from tmobile and it took about 24 hours to get the unlock code emailed to him.

I just spoke with T-Mobile and since I am no longer a customer of theirs and I use Straight Talk they will not supply me with the unlock code. They said the only person that will be able to get this code is someone that has a tmobile account. What service are you wanting to use?

I'd also be interested in using this device on ST; where did you find the correct APN settings to be able to do that? Thanks!
