Does the phone look like this picture as far as color trims and back go? http://cdn.pocketnow.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/michael-moto-x-5.jpg
The the front is white, and the back is actually turquoise as in this picture. http://img36.imageshack.us/img36/316/tv5d.jpg
Hope this helps!
Anton, could you please upload an actual image of the back of the device for potential buyers to see? The images from Motorola's website aren't true to life, and seeing the real back of your device may help it sell faster.
You say the phone was "just upgraded". Do you mean to 4.4.4 or newer?
I apologize for the confusion. The phone is on stock 4.4.4.
I just read that one must not update the phone if rooted. Is that true? I.E., no update to 5.1?
From .. http://blog.laptopmag.com/moto-x-root
"As a warning, please make sure not to update your device with any software updates after doing this procedure as it will cause you to lose root and may even cause the device to crash."
I rooted my current phone, but am wanting to be sure the rooted moto x will not have problems as a result.
Thanks.
Your safest bet would be to flash one of the custom 5.1 roms when they come out.
If I may ask a question at this point ... did you root the phone? If so, what procedure/application did you use, and did you also update it to 4.4.4 at the time? Just wanting to know the phones history a bit better.
Thanks.
Hi Richard. I did root the phone but it was a while ago, while it was on 4.3 or so. After that I flashed a stock ROM on 4.4.4. To get it ready for the sale, I did a wipe through the recovery (TWRP). If there is no official 5.1 stock ROM, I would recommend waiting a few weeks until it comes out, and then flashing that. Until then, I've found 4.4.4 to be very stable and fast, so you can use it out of the box. Hope that helps!
Thanks! I am familiar w/ CWM and have it on my current phone. Will have to read up on TWRP. Had heard of it, but not looked at it seriously as of yet.
Received phone. Looks good, but waiting for SIM card to do thorough test, then will report to Swappa.
Thanks for prompt shipment.
